A new form of renewable energy storage to power a cleaner world

As the world generates more and more electricity from intermittent renewable energy sources, there is a growing need for technologies which can capture and store energy during periods of low demand and release it rapidly when required.

Gravis Mac GamePad (Mac abandonware from 1996) To date, Macintosh Repository served 1426989 old Mac files, totaling more than 281255.1GB! GraviTrax – the interactive ball track system from Ravensburger for your mobile or tablet. Use the free app for the GraviTrax ball track system with its free editor to build your very own fantastic tracks, and then roll the balls as you watch from different angles. Gravilux 1.0 for Mac is available as a free download on our software library. This Mac application was originally designed by Scott Snibbe Studio, Inc. Our antivirus scan shows that this Mac download is virus free. The application lies within Lifestyle Tools, more precisely Entertainment. While Apple's previous iPod media players used a minimal operating system, the iPhone used an operating system based on Mac OS X, which would later be called 'iPhone OS' and then iOS. The simultaneous release of two operating systems based on the same frameworks placed tension on Apple, which cited the iPhone as forcing it to delay Mac OS X 10.

See our short explainer animation here.

Fast, long-life energy storage

At Gravitricity we are developing a novel storage technology which offers some of the best characteristics of lithium batteries and pumped storage.

Ideally suited to network-constrained users and operators, distribution networks and major power users, the technology operates in the 1MW to 20 MW power range and enables existing grid infrastructure to go further in a renewable energy world.

Our 250kW demonstrator project

We have constructed a 15-metre high test rig at the Port of Leith. This 250kW concept demonstrator uses two 25-tonnes weights suspended by steel cables connected to two winches. The demonstrator is being used to validate engineering simulations, which will feed into full-scale system design, and to confirm Gravitricity's unique selling points.
